About the FBA Business & Directory

The FBA Foundational Black American Businesses & Directory is part of the broader BLACK Women in MUSIC Festival & Broadcast Network. It reflects a shared vision: to make businesses easier to discover and to encourage connection and support within the community.

The directory is inspired by the legacy of Black Wall Street and the Black-owned businesses, institutions, and community life that flourished in Tulsa’s Greenwood District. Remembering that history includes recognizing both what the community built and the devastating destruction it endured.

This directory is a present-day project inspired by that legacy—not a recreation of Greenwood. Its purpose is to help people find and learn about businesses and to support greater visibility and connection.
